The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hello everybody! How are ya? I'm here to update my journal since there hasn't been pretty much any activity AT ALL from me, except replying notes and comments :aww:
Well here's the reason why:
At first, my scanner didn't work, so all the sketches I did couldn't be scanned nor printed so my art was at a stop. Now my scanner is up and working (so I will take some time to scan some of the sketches and post some here :D ) but at the beginning of this month I started a course to be... a stewardess!! LOL XD I laugh to myself at the very thought of it X3
The course lasts three months and it's very demanding and intense so now I don't have the time to even sit my ass next to the desk and make a doodle of a fly (?) I have to get back home and study study study and don't even get me started on how tired I feel when I arrive home... TT_TT
So that's what's been going on with me... now I shouldn't be doing this since I have my first exam on monday and I have to study 63 freaking pages X_X but I will scan a sketch and submit it :dance: and every time I can I will submit more of what I did in the time I was free.
Until the course is done I doubt you'll be seeing any kind of art from me ): I'm sorry! But I will as always read your comments and notes and reply to them! :aww:
