Hey everybody! :iconletmehugyouplz:

Just wanted to write a little something to wish you all a most wonderful holiday season! :dummy: May you all have a merry, merry Christmas and get lots of presents from Santa and love from your beloveds - and to those who feel it, let's throw a great b-day party for Christ! :la: - and I hope that the year to come brings you the best! God knows this year was quite chaotic for us (will tell you about it on another journal soon), so I'm very much looking forwards to a fresh new year, with many possibilities! :aww:

How do you celebrate this holiday? Do you have any particular tradition? :meow: In Argentina, family and friends gather on the evening of the 24th to have dinner and wait until it's midnight and officially the 25th; that's when we all toast and wish everybody the best, we exchange presents and watch/throw fireworks the second the clock reached 00:00, the same goes for new year's eve > u < And I've come to learn that there's a very much different tradition here in Catalunya (Spain) which does not include Santa: the tradition consists in "feeding" a log that has a face and legs prior to Christmas, and when it comes, the kids beat the shit out of that log, which then it poops the presents for them under a blanket x'D (I laugh my ass off every time I think about it, not to be disrespectful at all... but it's so weird! xD). So this indeed makes me wonder about the different traditions around the world! O u O Share one if you have it! :iconlachoirplz:

Have the best time guys! Lots of luv and kisses from meh!

Xmas here in Norway is more about family and food, than anything else. Also, the Yule traditions that started long before Xmas came into existence started out as a way to deal with the darkest time of year around here, which is the winter soltice, where we put up lots of light to bring cheer that'll get us through the dark and the cold, so Xmas has more or less become a sort of festival of lights. Here in Norway - and Scandinavia in general - we celebrate the 24th of December (Xmas Eve) as the main day where we have the big feast and open all the presents. :3 And between Xmas eve and New Years eve, we have the middle Xmas days were we have lots of food and spend time with our friends and families.

I hope you've had a great time so far, and I wish you a fantastic holiday celebration onwards, and, when the time comes, a happy new year! Love you loads, my darling~ :tighthug:
